Membership Activities
We are intentional about welcoming new members and creating opportunities for students to get involved in FCCLA.

Our recruitment efforts begin in March at Freshman Club Intro, where we set up a table share information about FCCLA, and connect with incoming freshmen about what our chapter offers and why they should join. We also participated in freshman day when students visit the school, follow their future schedule, and explore clubs during their "lunch period". During this time we hand out flyers, answer questions, and promote our first meeting with reminder cards that include the date, time, and location. To build excitement, we host a fun and welcoming first meeting for members, which was complete with snow cones. This gave new members a chance to meet others and get involved right away. Throughout the semester, we continued recruitment by visiting other elective classes to share what FCCLA is all about, and how students can join through FCS courses. We also speak in FCS classes to explain membership opportunities and encouraging involve.

To retain members, we focus on creating a positive and inclusive environment. This includes hosting fun social events where members play games, make crafts, and simply enjoy their time together. FCCLA is more than just a club; it's a place where you can show up, be yourself, and feel like you belong.
